Where can I install a Wood Burning Stove?
Given there are so many free standing stoves available now, A stove could be against a wall, in a fireplace or in the middle of an open plan room. Flues can be fitted through walls and ceilings.
Can I burn any Wood in my Wood Burning Stove?
No, It is important that you only use firewood with no more than a 20% moisture content. This will ensure your stove heats and burns efficiently. Make sure you use fuel that matches your appliances operating instructions and warranty for a long reliable and safe service.
How long does it take to install a Stove?
A straightforward installation can be done in a day, Robert will discuss a time frame once he has surveyed the room for the stove.
How do I know what size KW stove I need?
As Robert is a Hetas trained, he will work out the Stove you need after measuring the space and taking into account any other factors which may effect the KW required. We can recommend some Stove manufactuers we use.

How much will it cost?
Fitting and Installation on a standard stove with a flue liner start from £1,100 exc vat. You just need to choose and supply your own Stove or, we can suggest a few of our suppliers and order for you.
How much do Stoves cost?
They typically start around £400 inc VAT, depending on the style, output and fuel type. We can competitively supply stoves from our suppliers.
I’m buying a home with a Stove, what do I need to do?
Any wood burner installed since 2005 will have a Certificate of Compliance. We recommend checking the chimney has been swept and if the appliance has been serviced.. If not both can be arranged by us.
Will a CO alarm be fitted?
Yes, it is law that all solid fuel stove installed in your home must have a CO alarm fitted.
What is an Ecodesign Stove?
Ecodesign regulations set new minimum seasonal efficiency and maximum emission requirements for solid fuel burning room heater stoves. Only appliances that have been tested and verified as meeting these new limits can be legally installed with in the UK.

Is there an advantage of a Stove over a traditional Fireplace?
Yes, traditional fires are 26% heat efficient while wood burning stoves are over 80% efficient.
Do we need a hearth?
If the appliance is suitably tested and it can be confirmed that the upper surface of the hearth will not exceed 100c, then the appliance can be installed on a hearth of non combustable board/sheet material or tiles of at least 12mm thick.
